Change Video Speed Online - Slow Motion or Speed Up
I have recorded a tutorial. It was really slow. I have also downloaded a lecture that I wanted to watch fast at double the speed. This tool is made to solve this kind of problem. I can just upload my video. Pick a speed. Then I can download it. That is it. It only takes a minutes. I do not need any software. I do not need to make an account.
This tool uses a tool from tinyconvert.com. This is the tool that professional video editors and streaming platforms use. The video speed changer tool gives me results. It is not, like some trick that only works in a browser.
Why Your Audio Doesn't Sound Weird
Most speed changers make voices sound like chipmunks at 2× or impossibly deep at 0.5×. This tool uses server atempo filter, which resamples the audio waveform so pitch stays natural at any speed. Whether you're watching someone talk at 1.75× or reviewing slow-motion footage at 0.25×, the audio tracks cleanly with no artifacts.
Video Quality Is Untouched
Speed changes require re-timing frames, but that doesn't mean the image quality has to suffer. The video is encoded with libx264 CRF 18 — a setting that's considered visually lossless by most standards. You won't notice a difference in sharpness, color, or detail between your original and the output.
What Speed Should You Pick?
It depends on what you're trying to do. 0.5× is great for analyzing sports clips or reviewing fast-moving footage frame by frame. 1.25× or 1.5× work well for podcasts and e-learning videos — your brain adjusts quickly and you save a chunk of time. 2× is ideal for content you just want to skim. Need something in between? Type any value from 0.1 to 10 in the custom field.
Supported Formats and File Size
Upload MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, or AVI and export to any of those same formats. Files up to 2 GB are supported. MP4 is the safest bet for compatibility across phones, browsers, and social platforms. If you're working with footage for YouTube or Instagram, MP4 at 1080p will play everywhere without issues.
Common Uses
- →Speeding up screen recordings and walkthroughs before uploading to YouTube
- →Making slow-motion clips from standard 30fps footage for social media
- →Reviewing lecture or meeting recordings at 1.5× to save time
- →Analyzing sports technique or dance moves frame by frame at 0.25×
- →Creating timelapse-style content from longer clips at 4× or higher
- →Adjusting video pacing for presentations or demo reels
How to Use This Tool
Drop your video file into the upload area or click to browse. Select a speed preset — or type a custom multiplier if you need something specific like 1.75× or 3×. Choose your output format, then hit the button. The file uploads to our server, server processes it, and you get a direct download link. Nothing is stored after the job finishes.
The whole process usually takes under a minute for files under 500 MB. Larger files naturally take longer, but the progress bar keeps you updated the whole way through. Once it's done, your browser downloads the file directly — no email, no waiting room, no account needed.
